This gingery non-alcoholic cocktail I invented myself. And since I'm in Germany right now, and used for this drink a typical german beverage Apfelschorle, I decided to name it "Herbst in Deutschland", or "Autumn in Germany".
If we simplify it, Apfelschorle is basically an apple juice mixed with soda water, so if your local shop does not have this drink on its shelf you can prepare it yourself.
But please keep in mind that I use a low-sugar version to keep a cocktail not too sweet, so I will recommend keeping it this way.
For "Herbst in Deutschland" you will need:
- Low-sugar apfelschorle or substitute.
- Zero-sugar ginger ale.
- Maple syrup
- Cinnamon stick as garnish.
How to make it:
Mix 100 ml of apfelschorle with 100 ml of ginger ale, and add 1,5 teaspoons of maple syrup. Stir carefully, and pour into a champagne glass.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick - it is not necessary but adds an extra flavor to the drink.
